The Home Builders Action Group [HBAG] was established to represent small and medium sized building companies in response to the worst financial and economic circumstances impacting the industry in a generation.
HBAG’s initial approach to government was referred to the Minister for Commerce, The Hon. Sue Ellery MLC by the Minister for Housing, by The Hon. John Carey MLA to whom HBAG’s that original representation was made.
HBAG met with Minister Ellery on Tuesday 1 August.
Attached to this email are:
- HBAG’s Mission Statement
- The Agenda for the meeting with the Minister on 1 August together with details of the HBAG officers attending and including a list of 51 companies put into administration, receivership or liquidation in the past 18 months; and
- The representation sent by HBAG to the Minister immediately after the meeting; and
- A further representation sent on Monday.
They are self-explanatory.
HBAG is anxious to keep you informed of developments and would like to invite you to the meeting foreshadowed in the latest letter to the Minister. Would you please let me know if you are interested in attending and, in which case, I will inform you of arrangements when the Minister replies.
