The Home Builders Action Group

The Home Builders Action Group (HBAG) has been established to:

  1. Represent small to medium sized Building Companies confronting financial and economic challenges not seen for generations;
  2. Develop policies that can be represented to Government in specific areas including:
  • The Home Building Contracts Act and the damage done by Fixed Price
    Contracts that are not fit for purpose in the present environment;
  • The negative impact of well-intentioned Government Stimulus Packages;
  • Material and Labour shortages with their implications for trade training and technical education; and
  • The shape, substance and form of an intelligent industry assistance
    package.

The Group‘s core values will include a commitment to provide professional advice and support for the industry at a time when there was very little support for small to medium Home Builders.

HBAG will be determined and active in representing the industry position to Government, Opposition and back bench Members of Parliament.
