My name is David Hay, an Architect and a member of the newly established Applecross Branch of The Nationals WA.
The Party is currently expanding into the metropolitan area to provide conservative voters with a new choice at the next State Election.
As The Nationals WA have traditionally concentrated on regional WA, its views and policies regarding metropolitan Perth are largely a blank page.
As a consequence, it will be up to members of the metropolitan Branches to help inform the party regarding appropriate policy stances in the next State Election.
Heiner Hunning, a fellow Architect and builder has pointed me in the direction of HBAG.
I have been very impressed with your evaluation of the causes of the dire state of the Residential Building Industry in WA and your suite of actions proposed to improve the situation for builders, subcontractors and clients.
I understand that that HBAG is non-political , and very appropriately so, as your group needs the current Government to do something soon to avoid the situation deteriorating any further within the Building Industry.
However it is important that your message is spread as far and wide as possible, and we were hoping that you might be available to address the first general meeting of the Applecross Branch on 6th December 20123 at Palmyra Rugby Club
Located at Tompkins Park Alfred Cove around 6.30pm
Your address will inform our members of the situation and the HBAG efforts to improve the plight of the building industry.
I do hope you can respond in the affirmative.

David Hay

Thanks for the invitation David.
I will be attending the Meeting on 5th December 2023 at Tomkins Park at 6.30pm and will present some information that the Home Builders Action Group (HBAG) have prepared.
This information details the crisis that the Building Industry is currently facing along with suggestions that HBAG have presented to the Government to help resolve the issues created by the Home Building Contracts Act and the Government Building Bonuses which have placed enormous financial pressure on the Building Industry, which has in turn placed enormous financial pressure on many clients that are waiting many years for their new homes to be completed.
If you go to https://hbag.com.au/ you will see the actions HBAG has been taking ion behalf of its members.
Best Wishes
Yours sincerely
